Gooey chocolate chip cookies

Yields: 14 large cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup ( 2 sticks) unsalted butter

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 cups milk chocolate chocolate chips

Directions

  • Preheat oven 375 degrees

  • In a large bowl place the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix until no clumps

  • Add salt, vanilla, honey, cinnamon, butter, sugar, brown sugar and eggs. Mix all together

  • Last, add the chocolate chips

  • Place parchment paper on each baking sheets.

  • Next using a large ice cream scoop, scoop out the cookie batter onto the cookie sheets

  • Bake for 9 to 12 minutes until a light golden brown

  • Once the cookies are done in the oven, remove from the oven but let the the cookies set before you move them to a cooling rack so the cookies won’t break apart.

  • After a few minutes, using a spatula, move the cookies to the cooling rack. Remember to be a little gentle. You can also slide the parchment paper with the cookies still in place over to the cooling rack.

(You can always use a smaller scoop or spoon to make smaller cookies. You can also use other chips, such as semi-sweet, peanut butter, etc.)
